Germany

Germany is one of the largest and technologically advanced states on the planet, so it is a very attractive academic base for students and scientists. The main reasons that bring Germany to one of the top positions in the world are quality in education and employment prospects after graduation. The international certification of Bachelor and Master programs offered by Universities, always adapted to international standards, plays a key role in the distinctive value of German academic degrees. Germany is also a particularly attractive environment due to its historical and geographic background.

Higher education in Germany stands out because of the wide range of institutions it offers. You can choose between Universitäten, Applied Arts Universities (Fachhochschulen), Technology Universities (Technische Hochschulen, Universitäten), F + U Academy of Languages Heidelberg + Berlin,  and others. Most of them are state-owned, but we also work with institutions that are financially supported by individuals. Whatever type of University you choose, you have the choice of studying in English as well as German. With the end of the courses, German Universities give you the choice to get to know employers in your industry and to get interviews.

Of course, students from the European Union have the option to spend only one or two quarters at German Universities, since there are over 19,000 student exchange programs.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

If you wish to study in Germany, you should have a Apolyterion Lyceum. Possibility for studying in Germany also offers the International Baccalaureate (ie the international baccalaureate with which one can study abroad abroad) as well as students who attend GCE A Levels. In some disciplines such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and psychology, there is a limited number of places (numerus clausus). This means that only people with very good performance are likely to be admitted to these schools. Applications and criteria are received and evaluated by the Hochschulstart service.

If you wish to attend a master’s degree, such as a Master, you should have a Bachelor’s degree of at least three years. The person concerned should then contact the university directly.

If you wish to obtain a PhD degree, such as PhD, you should have a degree that is five years of study or a postgraduate degree. In this case, the application is made directly to the particular university, which also determines the rate (s) of the degree (s).

Tuition fees

Most German universities are state-owned. This means that studies in that country are subsidized for all students (Germans and foreigners) by the state. Therefore, attendance is free of charge. Some universities have introduced tuition fees only for postgraduate programs or for students, which are over 3 to 4 semesters in the usual study period.
